Description: The Principal Financial Group’s® Learning & Development Community has merged the traditional ADDIE model with the “Six Disciplines of Breakthrough Learning™” to create a strong approach to learning design.  This customized approach is founded in the concept that learning is a process that begins before a training event and continues long after a training event has concluded.  The new emphasis is that learning is a team effort in which all of the players must be fully engaged and involved throughout the process in order for true learning to be achieved – the players being the Trainer, the Trainee, and the Leader.  Increasingly, the role of the leader in the overall success of training goals is being reinforced, even in the recent redesign of the Kirkpatrick Four Levels of Evaluation™ model.

In this session we will look at the various tools that The Principal® has combined to assemble a learning design approach that is changing the learning culture of the organization, creating stronger connections between learning and business results, and establishing Principal’s L&D Community members as valued consultants to their business partners.
